The Boardwalk is located in the capital of Barbados, which is called Bridgetown. I love walking along here, either first thing in the morning before the sun gets too hot or early evening after the sun has gone down.
The Boardwalk runs along what the locals call the Careenage and is just across the road from Trafalgar Square. Even though it is only a stones throw from the busiest street in Barbados, full of hordes of people, shops and cars, it is always fairly quiet and calm here.
As you can see from the sky, the heavens opened about 1 minute after I took this picture and it really started to rain like crazy.
