A picture of a sugar cane field, which was once upon a time the main industry in Barbados and was a huge money earner for the plantation owners and government. Nowadays the sugar cane industry has been overtaken by the tourism sector as being the main money earner.
For me the best thing that is produced from sugar cane is of course the rum that is produced from it here in Barbados. For me nothing beats the sweet taste of Mount Gaye Sugar Cane Brandy Rum, it is truly amazing and for me it is probably the best thing produced in Barbados.
