That Girl At the Beach Has Such A Big ***

December 16th, 2008

That girl at the beach has such a big hat, it sure looked like a good hat for shielding oneself from heat of the afternoon sun at the Beach here in Barbados.

The girl with hat maybe looked a wee bit funny with that big hat flopping all over the place, but  it kind of suited her and she wore it with a lot of style.

The Gap Looks Completely Different During the Day

December 2nd, 2008

St Lawrence Gap in Barbados is the main party area on the Island, and during the night time you will find a throng of people out and about enjoying themselves along with a constant flow of traffic. During the day it is a completely different place, you get very little traffic and only a handful of people walking around.

This picture was taken at nice wee picturesque spot looking out to the Caribbean Sea and the wee boats sitting in the Bay. It sure is a nice place to sit enjoying a cool drink.

Don’t Step Over the Edge of Bottom Bay

November 20th, 2008

A deceptive picture that I took over looking Bottom Bay in Barbados. There is a twenty-foot drop from a cliff only a few feet in front of where I took this picture. Believe me you wouldn’t want to fall of this cliff, you may not live to tell the story.

Bottom Bay really looks as good as it does in this picture, because it is miles away from the main tourist areas, you will never find hordes of people on this beach. It is also a great location for boogie boarding because you get some serious and rough waves.

Watching Over You At Brighton Beach In Barbados

October 24th, 2008

A mid morning picture of a lifeguard station at Brighton Beach in Barbados. I was thinking how lucky the life guard that was manning the station was, with the fantastic view of the Caribbean Sea that he must have had up there.

I could imagine myself up there with a view ice cold beers enjoying the view, a fan blowing on me and taking things real easy, but I suppose that isn’t quite part of the job.

Old Stone Steps Leading To Paradise In Barbados!

August 29th, 2008

That’s all it takes is a wee climb down 20 or so old stone steps and you will find yourself in a paradise like beach in Barbados, called Harrismith Beach. It is a nearly always deserted beach and you will very rarely find anybody at it, apart from the occasional tourist or fisherman.

It is a great beach for sitting on the glorious sands, watching the Atlantic Ocean. I only wish I could climb one of the many palm trees, so that I could get myself a delicious coconut in order to drink the water inside it. But at the present time I value my life too much to attempt such a foolhardy task.
