Watching You Watching Me Take The Picture

November 28th, 2008

I was walking around near the city centre of Bridgetown when I came across this colourful looking pet shop. I took a few snaps hoping the woman would get out of the picture, but she seemed a wee bit too interested in me taking my pictures, and as a result she wasn’t  going anywhere fast. So what could I do, apart take the picture of the woman standing outside the pet shop.

Bolton Lane In Barbados Sure Is Colourful

November 26th, 2008

I have passed this lane in the centre of Bridgetown in Barbados countless times and each and every time I do so, it grabs my attention. It sure is a colourful lane. I wonder if it is named after the English city of the same name.

Ready to Sail Away on the Caribbean Sea

November 25th, 2008

I loved this interesting old sailing boat that I came across at the Careenage in Bridgetown in Barbados. It was maybe an old boat, but it was obviously lovingly looked after and maintained by the owner.

I could just imagine myself sailing on that old boat on the Caribbean Sea, drinking a few ice-cold lagers and having the occasional dip in the inviting blue waters. One of these days, it you don’t have the dream how can it come true!

The Paris Bakery is in Bridgetown, Honestly It is

November 13th, 2008

I came across this delightful little bakery called the Paris Bakery in the capital of Barbados, which is of course Bridgetown. It even sells croissants, and a good range of delicious cakes and pastries.

When I first saw the Paris Bakery it reminded me on a Bakery I use to frequent in Paris in France. Whenever I’m in Bridgetown I will be making a detour to the Paris Bakery for something to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Sail Away Into the Clear Blue Caribbean Sea

November 8th, 2008

A couple of Catamarans full of tourists heading out into the Caribbean Sea to enjoy a few hours sailing on the beautiful blue waters around Barbados. The catamarans are heading out from what is locally known as the Careenage, which is near the city centre in Bridgetown the capital of Barbados.

The boardwalk, which is located right next to the Careenage is a great place to go for a wee walk, where you can enjoy the views of the yachts, boats and catamarans that are berthed there, as well as enjoying the views of the Caribbean Sea.
